World Cup day 23 recap or Oh my goodness
Oh my goodness. Brazil is out of the World Cup as I was slightly predicting and France has its hero back. Zinedine Zidane showed once again what he is still able to do. Great, I loved watching him doing his special trick (you know which one I mean) again leaving two Brazilians behind. Just lovely to watch this genious play. By the way I just ordered a Zidane 2006 Jersey woohoo. The other Quarter-Final was England against Portugal which was also the quarter-final of the European Championships two years back and as before Portugal´s Ricardo was the man of the match for me saving 3 of England´s penalty shots oh my goodness. World Cup Day 23
Well, today we have another pair of Quarter-Finals with two top notch games. France will play against Brazil and Portugal will face England in the first match of the game. I am really excited about these games because with Zidane and Figo two of my favorite players are probably playing their last game. I was just wondering if Brazil will give a better performance than before. We´ll see. As always I give you my bets for todays games. Read more
Photo of the day - World Cup Day 22

My photo of the day. Jens Lehmann saving the final penalty of Esteban Cambiasso’s. I must say I was suprised that our german players did so well in the penalty shootout. 4 penalties shot very well. Good work.

Oh my goodness you wouldn´t believe what´s going on in Germany as we´re now in the semi-finals of “our” World Cup. Yesterday after the match against Argentina the streets were full of people celebrating our first win against a “Big” team in the last 5 years. It was a real great game where anyone could see that there were two equal teams playing. I must say I was close to a few heart attacks during the game tough. Read more

World Cup Quarter-Finals
By 5pm MET today I will have survived something about 70 hours without a World Cup ball rolling and so will you. I must say I´m relieved that this time is now over and we´re going to see some great football the next days. It all starts with Germany vs. Argentina in the afternoon and Italy vs. Ukraine in the evening. Read more
Ronaldo´s World Cup goals
In the pre-World Cup phase I was questioning if Ronaldo might beat Muller´s record of 14 World Cup goals. I didn´t have that much doubts about it given that he scored 8 goals in 2002. But as the World Cup began to roll almost everyone was complaining about him being too fat. Anyways, he did it and if you´re like me you can´t stop watch wonderful goals so join us and watch each of Ronaldo´s 15 World Cup goals. Read more

No commentsSecret german World Cup training strategies
Tomorrow we´re gonna watch the first two of our four Quarter-Finals. One of those will be Germany against Argentina. What would you be doing if you´re only one day away from probably one of the (if not THE) greatest game of your life? Would you train like hell? Sleep like an angel? I don´t know. But what I know is what the German coach Klinsmann made his players do - practicing Robin Hood style. I don´t know how this will affect tomorrows game but “Klinsi” sure does. Great!

2 comments70 hours without World Cup football
Uff, by the time you´re reading this I´ve survived 34 of the 70 hours without a World Cup game. Tough time for all of us. While you´re waiting you might be interested in a few things though. Marcus Allbäck of Sweden scored the 2,000th World Cup goal, Graham Poll (Mr. 3 yellow cards) has been sent home and Ronaldo scored his 15th World Cup goal. Bob over at WCB has found a galery of 50 real nice goals you might wanna check that out.
