We have a World Cup winner

We have a winner. Italy won 5-3 over France after penalty shoot out. Trezeguet was the one to hit the bar for France for which Barthez couldn´t make up and so Grosso scored the decisive penalty to gain Italy´s fourth star on the jersey. Oh Zizou, what a tragic hero. Scoring the hell of a penalty, playing like a godsend once again but in the end one moment of unreasonable crazyness. It doesn´t matter what Materazzi said if only you kept cool Zizou.
In my opinion Ital should not have been able to start at this World Cup due to their scandal at home but ok they won. Congratulations, there must be a reason if you win the World Cup. They played defensive, awkward football, but they won. So I won´t bother about it anymore. Congrats.
I can´t stop thinking about Zidane. He stays the best player that I have ever seen. He gave us a mass of pleasant moment of geniousness to watch. Thank you for this.
Last but not least, my final bet of the World Cup was wrong (1-0 France) as were a lot of the others.
I hope you enjoyed this tournament as much as I did. Thanks for reading here at World Cup News Blog, stay with me here. I might start another blog to blog about football constantly. This I will decide in the next few days. Cheers to all of you my fellow football lovers.

Two things:
“In my opinion Ital should not have been able to start at this World Cup due to their scandal at home…”
The scandal has nothing to do with the national team. Recall that Germany had a match fixing scandal involving bribing just three years ago, but it didn’t impact at all the reputation of the German soccer federation.
Moreover not a single player (being on the national team or not) is under investigation.
“They played defensive, awkward football, but they won”
It’s interesting that you define Italy’s game as defensive since they ended up scoring more goals than Brazil and just as many as Argentina (that collected 6 goals alone against Serbia and Montenegro). Moreover with 10 different man scoring goals, I don’t think the game could be labelled defensive. If it had been so, then the only goals would have come from strikers during counter attacks.
Moreover Italy ended most games with higher number of corner kicks and shots on goals, compared to the opposition. Overall statistics will show you also that Italy committed less fouls than they suffered, which shows more ball possession.
Your analysis is very shallow and stereotypical if you don’t support it with concrete data.
its obvious we were gonna win.
our team was great, they all worked together, and i think its unfair that zidane got the golden ball..he clearly should have it taken away
