World Cup 2006 News

I didn´t think that I had to write these lines today but Germany is out of the World Cup after a high-class game against Italy which ended up being a little more cooler as our coach Klinsmann called it. I´m hugely disappointed it really felt like we could make it this year.

First of all give credit where credit is due. Well played Italy. It was a game which each team could have won. I still think the Azzuri should not have survived the Round of the last 16 as they were playing Australia but they did and so good luck for the final on Sunday.

Congratulations to our team which was fighting like hell. They really made this nation proud. Thank you very much. Especially you, Jürgen. I really hope you´ll stay. Time will tell.
