World Cup Day 22 recap or “We did it”
Oh my goodness you wouldn´t believe what´s going on in Germany as we´re now in the semi-finals of “our” World Cup. Yesterday after the match against Argentina the streets were full of people celebrating our first win against a “Big” team in the last 5 years. It was a real great game where anyone could see that there were two equal teams playing. I must say I was close to a few heart attacks during the game tough.
The first half was full of nervous german passes. You could see that those young players (5 players could still play (U-21 cups)) did have a lot of respect which was definitely justified. After half-time the german heart was hit badly with Ayala´s header finding the net but the good thing about this was that afterwards we were really trying to make the game ours. Whole Germany was relieved as Miroslav Klose equals the game out 10 minutes before the end.
After 30 minutes of intense overtime the game was decided with penalty shootout where Jens Lehmann shows once again why he has become Germany´s #1 goalie for this World Cup. Thanks guys you made my day.
The other match yesterday was Ukraine against Italy I didn´t expect that much from that game because both teams didn´t convince me before but I must say it really wasn´t that bad of a game as the 3-0 result in favor of Italy makes you think. Ukraine could have also won with a little more luck. Nevertheless I´m really looking forward to Tuesday now when Germany will play against Italy. It surely will become a great match believe you me.
I owe you my betting results:
Germany - Argentina 5-3 after penalty shoot out (3-1)
Italy - Ukraine 3-0 (0-0, which means match will be decided either in overtime or penalty shoot out)
As you might see once again I was totally off. May be I´ll do better today.
