World Cup 2006 News

Well, we´re only a little more than 1 hour away from the opening-match Germany vs. Costa Rica and as soon as this post is written I´m off to watch the game on big screen. Make sure to check back frequently for updates though I´ll post photos and news right away - tomorrow even from Berlin. But before we start here´s a little survey why no team needs to play this year because Germany will win the World Cup. You don´t think so? Well you might wanna read on and find out - you won´t regret it.

20 years ago Germany lost the final against Argentina. 4 years later they won the final against? You´re right Argentina. We lost 4 years ago against Brazil, dare to venture a guess who we win over this year?

More evidence. Our coaches. Back in 1974 Franz Beckenbauer won the cup as a player. 16 years later he won it again as a coach. Klinsmann won in 1990 and is this year´s coach. See?

Need more? Here goes. We won the European Championships in 1980 - 10 years later we won the World Cup in Italy. We also won the Championships of 1996. Conclusion?
