There are people who aren´t that excited about the World Cup as you are
This may sound surprising for some people but the closer we get to the World Cup the more people occur who obviously dislike this World event. There are women who´re organising theirselves to prevent the rest of the world from having fun and even football-free-zones are created.
On my daily drive to the University I have to read things like “If you´re sick of the whole World Cup stuff do this or you might consider this bla bla”. And I live in Germany. Guys cut us some slack, this isn´t an annual thing. We do have this kind of fun every four years so please - back off or at step at least a little aside. Thanks.
Nobody complains about the Olympics, why the heck do people bother about those 4 weeks of football? I might understand people getting sick of all the commercials and crap but it´s the game we love so please.

Most of my Bavarian relatives, with some notable exceptions, have absolutely no interest in Fußball or the World Cup. One of them is even part of the opening game ceremonies, if zou can believe that.
