Just another World Cup-Rooney-questionmark-day
The day of the final scan is here, which will determine wheter young Wayne will remain part of England´s World Cup squad or not. The ManU-striker will have left England´s World Cup HQ in Baden-Baden when you read this. He´s flying back to England in a private jet along-side with doctor Leif Sward to take the scan at 12.00 BST in the Whalley Range private hospital. Sward will discuss the results with United doctor Tony Gill and the experts from the result to decide what´s going to happen with Wayne.
Despite the fact that I hope for him to rejoin England´s squad I don´t want you, as an England-fan, to get your hopes up too high. Rooney himself says he is “300% sure” to be fit, but who knows how much this counts in the eyes of a handful of doctors. England Coach Eriksson is quoted over at the BBC like he has been the last month or so:
I’m confident he will take part in the World Cup and he is 300% confident he will play.
Time will tell.
