Germany vs. Colombia friendly recap
I´ve been reading a lot of the headlines of today´s newspapers here in Germany to get a general feeling what the 3-0 victory was able to do. After the lucky 2-2 against Japan a few days back I read things like “This is the worst german team ever” and today the same papers write calm and well-disposed lines how nice to watch yesterday´s match was. This is the paradoxon of football when you play bad everybody hates you, once you play better you´re everybody´s darling.
These days it´s nice to drive or walk through german cities you see flags from the World Cup contestants everywhere you really get the feeling that something is about to happen. I will post some photos in the next days for your pleasure.
Yesterday´s game fit perfectly in this kind of mood. An opponent that might be compared to Costa Rica therefore not that arrogating than other teams, a german team that seems to have fun and entusiastic fans. It has been a nice warm-up and I´m really looking forward to the things to come.
