Maybe the best goal the World Cup has ever seen
Tonight I was watching a documentary on Eurosport covering the World Cup of 1986 especially Argentina´s way to the trophy. Jorge Valdano was interviewed and he was commenting on the quarter-final against England. This match has seen 2 wonderful goals of young man named Maradona. The second one is in my opinion the best score the World Cup has ever seen. Take a glance at this my fellow soccer-addicts. Read more

ManU star Wayne Rooney is sure to be named in England’s squad on May 15, but Eriksson assistant Grip has admitted that they will have to think of a plan without Rooney.
It doesn’t look hopeful as far as Wayne is concerned,
Eriksson and Grip do also have to worry about Owen, who is not sure to get fit enough soon.
With Wayne, we will have to wait and see - but it doesn’t look good at the moment.
Poor Wayne.

No commentsMore on Wayne Rooney
Eriksson will take injured striker Wayne Rooney to the World Cup, even if he is only fit for England’s ultimate target - the final on 9 July said the BBC earlier today.
I don’t know if it is going to be possible to have him in the World Cup or not. I hope so and I will believe so because I am optimistic by nature.
Rooney might stay in Manchester to heal out his injury even while the World Cup is already rolling. If confirmed by the doctors he will join the team over in Germany. I guess only time can tell.

No commentsMagic quartet to face Croatia
Yesterday Brazil Coach Parreira named the team for their opening match on June 13th against Croatia. Therefore he sticks to the team that finished the qualifying last year.

That would mean Brazil will be playing with the so called Magic Quartet consisting of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Adriano and Kaka. Here´s the whole team that played the last match during the World Cup Qualifying. Read more

If you´re anything like me you were very impressed by what Ronaldo was doing a few years back in his Barcelona days. Back then I thought it couldn´t get any better, but well I was wrong. Nowadays Ronaldinho is doing even crazier stuff even faster. Get a load of this. Read more
